MAY 15 IS THE KICKOFF!

Sláinte Thursday is Historic Dublin’s monthly multi-sensory stroll through the BriHi District! The 3 rd Thursday of each month, May through September, this quaint Mini-Festival energizes Historic Dublin and according to Historic Dublin Business Association (HDBA) Vice President Eric Leslie, the 2008 program will be bigger and better than ever!

On May 15th, in order to build on the upcoming Memorial Tournament fervor, the HDBA will present “PUTT AROUND THE DISTRICT!for the benefit of the Dublin Food Pantry. In exchange for donations of canned goods or money, anyone can play all or part of a nine-hole miniature golf course distributed throughout the entire Historic District. The Mini-Tour will require a donation of at least one canned good or $1.00. All proceeds will go to the Dublin Food Pantry.

Other highlights throughout the duration of the evening will include public cornhole tournaments, bagpipers, street vendors, live local outdoor music in multiple locations and local art exhibits courtesy of the Dublin Area Art League. The unique boutique retail shops will be open late as well. It’s a night out for strolling, browsing, mingling, shopping, eating and drinking while enjoying the beautiful streetscapes of Historic Dublin. It starts early evening until late. Parking is available in any of the public lots or on-street and also valet parking is available at 35 North High Street (Tucci’s) for a modest fee.

Sláinte Thursday is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the communal atmosphere of Historic Dublin for a charitable cause. Friends and families of all ages are encouraged to come and celebrate to their health and to the health of their community! More information can be obtained at www.BriHiDistrict.org.

The Historic Dublin Business Association is a voluntary organization made up of retail, professional and service businesses working together to promote economic growth, assist community development, and support community events within the Historic District of Dublin, Ohio. Historic Dublin is in the BriHi District at the corner of Bridge and High Streets. Sláinte [slon-sha] is a friendly and welcoming Gaelic or Celtic toast, similar to the English toast “To Your Health!” Sláinte Thursday is brought to you by the Historic Dublin Business Association in conjunction with the City of Dublin.
